The mattress base is a wood slat frame and can be placed at three different heights.  This crib can convert to a simple toddler bed (with the purchase of a toddler rail) by removing one side frame.  

Constructed by hand  in the USA, from wood from USA managed forests, the crib is available in Oak,  Cherry, Maple or Walnut.  Finished with a completely non-toxic, food grade linseed oil (Tried and True Danish Oil Finish).  This crib is also available unfinished.  Features fixed/static sides.  Shown to the left in oak.
